The Visible Theater presents a work-in-progress reading of Under Heaven. Inspired by a 14th century play, Under Heaven features a Chinese-born adoptee who is forced to confront her feelings about the country that gave her up when she comes into possession of an artifact sought by the Chinese government.

The Benvenue Beats Mini Music Festival is back! Come celebrate Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month with music and community. We'll be closing down the street for this open-air event featuring some of the Bay Area's finest performers including Jiten Daiko, Leung's White Crane Lion Dance, and the Manilatown Ancestral Ensemble. Join us for a live music concert featuring guitarist Javier Trujillo and percussionist Mariela Herrera of Wasska Project.
Based in the Bay Area, Wasska Project is a colloquial musical idea that fuses Latin-American traditional harmonies with classical guitar resources.The colors of the cajon, donkey jaw, cajita, spoons, and Afro Peruvian tap dancing are exposed to the dynamics of the guitar, bringing a rich conversation between oral tradition and a colorful cadence in the strings.
